Set up in 2025 by Alexandra Donaldson, Fix Finance Consulting aims to support your organisation build its financial management capacity to enhance project implementation and provide longer term stability at affordable prices. 

It provides a range of consultancy services including, but not limited to financial and capacity gap assessments, systems improvements, policy development, proposal development and mentoring

Fix Finance Consulting will also conduct a range of trainings for both finance and non finance professionals on a wide range of grant related financial management. It can provide in-house bespoke training programs on proposal budget development, budgeting and forecasting, monitoring grants and general financial understanding.

Alexandra Donaldson

Financial Management Consultant

Alexandra Donaldson is a CIMA qualified accountant with nearly 30 years' experience in financial and grant management. 

She received her training within organisations such as Pepsi and Hewlett Packard and so is well versed in financial accounting practices and compliance to international standards. 

Over the past 15+ years she has worked as a regional Business Partner in Southern Africa and Asia, working to provide support to country programs in terms of developing proposal budgets, managing grants and annual budgets and forecasts. More recently she has implemented a financial change program for WCS Cambodia. During this time, she has had much success in developing systems and procedures and providing multi-day trainings to 100+ staff

Her proven ability to communicate simple financial terminology to technical staff combined with her problem solving approach has resulted in increased cross departmental collaboration, enhanced donor compliance and improved decision making across all her roles

She has gained experience managing grants for multilateral and bilateral donors such as DfID, USAID, USFWS, EU, WHO and UNDP. She has also managed external audits for these organisations and internal audits for local country programmes. She was selected to conduct whistleblowing and fraud investigations at VSO.
